Hindbag, a Paris based brand, collaborates with Swami Sivananda Memorial Institute (SSMI), an Indian NGO which works in particular for the emancipation of women in the Punjabi Bagh district, in the north-west of Delhi. Women from disadvantaged neighborhoods make textile accessories in exchange for a salary, training and a place in school for their children. The place of women is a crucial subject in India, and the NGO responds to it by advocating reintegration through their empowerment.
